The first of the Queens Brewery Apartments are to be opened for viewing this weekend these are part of an on-going project within the existing foot print of the old Hydes Brewery. 20 apartments from the first two phases are ready for rent and are looking very desirable within this heritage setting.
Queens Brewery Apartments
Queens Brewery, Manchester
Colbre Projects are due to handover the first two of six phases of this historic building after 10 months of very complex and difficult work. The project includes elements of new build construction, major structural alterations and large scale refurbishment and renovation. The site, being the former Hydes Queens Brewery, was an amalgamation of industrial buildings developed over many years with differing purposes. Each historical element of the site offered different challenges, from Brewing Hall to Stables to Management Offices, these have been transformed by our team to provide some very exciting spaces including modern and attractive outdoor courtyard and secure car parking adjacent to the building.
The buildings have been sympathetically restored to their former glory whilst new additions blend in with the Victorian Brewery buildings. Internally we have created fresh, light living spaces to a high specification.
New Apprentices
We have employed two new Apprentices Isaac and Tom straight from School and College. They have settled well into working life and are both honing their skills at our Hyde’s Brewery site working with our time served joiners. Working on first and second fix tasks such as skirting, architraves and pattresses is giving them great experience on machinery and tools but also learning the importance of interacting with sub-contractors and how the flow of work is achieved. We wish them well with their studies and look forward to a long working relationship.
